I cannot believe that it is almost the 100th day of my first year of teaching first grade! I am thinking this calls for a BIG celebration. I've done lots of the same activities year after year because I always have new students, but this year is different since I have most of the same students I had last year. I am looking for some new, exciting, unique ideas. Do you have any for me?
I am doing the 100 Day Capes (see the freebie in the link up!) of course, but EduKate has also inspired me to do this utilizing the Aging Booth app:No bias of course, but aren't they just the cutest little. old men you've ever seen? Just because its the 100th day of school, we can't veer TOO far from the everyday curriculum, so we will be doing a constructed response based on their pictures of themselves as 100 year olds: How will you be different than you are now when you are 100 years old. I am going to use this as the springboard for introducing how to come up with a "gist" for constructed responses...believe it or not, some of them just might be ready...we will see!
If you link up, please be sure to grab the 100 days pic at the top of this post and link back to this specific post (for those who don't know, you can make sure you are at the specific post by clicking on the title of this post). I can't wait to see what you have in store for my readers and me!
