Whether I am teaching kindergarten or first grade, Pokey Pinning is ALWAYS a fun, go to activity. Little do the students know that while they are having fun, they are also strengthening their fine motor development (something so far removed from the PreK-1st grade curriculum these days) AND learning and reviewing new concepts. I get SO many questions about Pokey Pinning and my products, that I thought it was about time for me to put together a presentation that shows parents and/or teachers everywhere how easy this work station is to prepare and implement. And once you do? You've got yourself a new classroom favorite, INDEPENDENT, yet beneficial activity to be done oh so quietly during Reading and/or Math Workshops so you can work with small groups.
I created this slide slow for you to read at your leisure and find out what exactly Pokey Pinning is and how easily you can implement it within your classroom starting TOMORROW...you will be so glad you did!
I have also put all of the slides below for those who prefer that method of reading, but, just so you know, none of the links work in the pictures. (Oh, they are also there for those visual pinners!). Be sure to go all the way to the end of the slideshow above to grab a couple of Pokey Pinning freebies that will get you started FREE!
Be sure to grab the freebies from the slideshow at the top of the post! The links will not work in these pictures.
