Digital Frame Center Freebie Fun

Some of you have probably seen my digital frame center that I've shared before.  If not, it that has a slide show of all of the popcorn words we have learned or will be learning throughout the year. The children can choose to read it, spell it, read it or write them as quickly as they can as they watch the slideshow go by (as a disclaimer, this idea is an adaptation from the wonderful Teacher Tipster!).
Students can flick through if they need it to go faster.
...or slower for writing.

How fun is that??
Well, I knew I needed to add a letter i.d. center and a number i.d. center for the beginning of the year (on my to do list for this summer), but then I came upon this really cool FREE product that could easily be modified for this center:

I saw an awesome freebie from Conversations in Literacy that could easily be adapted for this center. By clicking the (fuzzy) picture above, you will be taken to Lori's store where you will find a Dolch Sight Word Phrases Powerpoint FREE.  If you save as (other formats) jpegs and load it onto your memory card  and voila! you have a new center that promotes fluency.  It has really cute slides, too, which is always important, right?  Thanks a bunch, Lori!

My presentation was all about setting up an easy-to-,manage
Literacy Center time.

If you watched the Everything's Kindergarten Teaching Blog Expo, you know how I do centers. If you didn't and you need a change during literacy center time, you may want to. It is the ONLY way I have tried that actually works and is successful.  Steve, owner of Teacher's Notebook, has made all of the expo presentations available to purchase individually for $4.95 each.  Click on any of the 3 pictures above to buy the video to watch at your leisure (in your jammies, drinking coffee if you please!).  Here are some of my products that will really help reenergize your center time when we head back to school:
Click on the picture above to grab your FREE Stamping Sampler Kit
Or, purchase all 3 sets at a discounted rate of $10 (rather than $15):

I've been bundling up my products for you which means more product for less money. First is my Literacy Pokey Pin Sets 1, 2, and 3 for $10.00 instead of $5 each:

I've also bundled my Popcorn Word items together at a lower rate:

Be sure to follow Mrs. Miner's Kindergarten Monkey Business or LIKE it on Facebook (both available in left sidebar) so you never miss another FREEBIE or informative article.

  1. Thank you so much for giving me a shout out!! That is SO nice of you to do. I'm sorry my picture came out fuzzy- not sure why. But the pictures in the sight word PowerPoint and the other sight word Powerpoints are nice and clear! :) Thanks again!

  3. Krissy, I just found your blog and I am your latest follower! I'm going to check out that digital frame on Amazon as soon as I finish writing this. I have been selling things on TPT for a while, but I also just started a shop on Teacher's Notebook. I'm looking for a sort of mentor to answer some questions for me. I just have a few questions about TN that I can't seem to find the answers to.

I have also put up some really nice freebies for kindergarten. If you have a second, stop by my blog. Thanks!

  4. I heard about digital frames being used for sight words practice. Thanks for the reminder and getting me to put it on my to-do list!

  5. How do you make the sight words into pictures to use in the digital frame? Not sure I understand the process.

  6. Were you able to download the sight words as a ppt file or just the presentation? I can't get it to open in anything but presentation mode so I can save it. Did you have that problem?
