Teacher Appreciation Jackpot!

View jackpotK-2.png in slide show
Did you know that next week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and that May 6th is sure to be your lucky day? I'm excited to announce the very first Teacher Appreciation Jackpot, an amazing "blog hop" event involving over 130 of the best and most popular bloggers!
We wanted to show our appreciation for you in a BIG way, so we've all agreed to give away one of our TeachersPayTeachers products for free on that day! Each free gift will be valued at between $3 and $8, so the total jackpot amount is estimated to be over $500!

First off, here is my typically paid product which is available FREE for tody only.
This is my token of appreciation for all of the hard work I know that you do. If you don't know about Pokey Pinning, visit this post that gives you an idea about it and tells about an invention one of my talented students came up with to make it easier when his hand muscles tired. Ingenious (I almost feel like I should pay him royalties, but, for now, he has access to all the pokey pin projects he needs!).

$5.00 FREE

Because so many bloggers are participating, this event will be divided into three grade level groups. Each of those smaller events is being coordinated by one blogger as shown below:
I can't share any more details just yet, but be sure to check back each day this week to see the events unfold! Scroll all the way down to see who is participating in this one-of-a-kind event! You will recognize MANY awesome bloggers and maybe meet up with a couple of new ones!

How about a giveaway on top of a giveaway?? Yes, please!
So, I have already chosen my product which will be free for the Jackpot.  Check out TeachersPayTeachers store (follow me while you are there!) and comment to let me know which item you think I have chosen (must comment by May5th, 2012) .  Anyone that gets it right and is a follower of my TpT store will not only get that product free, but also get to choose another product the same value or less.  Be sure to leave a specific guess, say you follow my TpT Store AND your email address to be eligible winner.  There is NO limit to how many people can win 2 free products on Sunday from me...anyone who guesses right WINS!

Thanks so much for all you do! We all appreciate your commitment to your students and your dedication as an educator.

I have another question for you: Have you used those Story Cubes in your classroom, and how did you use them? Sorry if I already missed your blog post on them. I get too busy to read so many blog posts it's sad!

  19. Yes, I have used them, Heidi! They are a "free choice" literacy center (once must dos are done). The children love them. The story cubes are great for oral language story telling, as well as sparking story ideas. My students will use them alone, in pairs taking turns adding to stories or even in small groups! It is a favored activity and so easy to set up and store! Thanks for stopping by!
