I learned about making washer necklaces a couple of years ago here on the internet, of course. So, when Marlana posted her version of a sweet washer necklace for
Mother's Day on Lil' Country Kindergarten Blog, it set my brain on fire. These are adorable and super easy to create(and, when you click on her links, she has a Mother's Day Linky Party as well):
So, since I can't do anything too simple, ya know, I decided to combine this awesome idea with the necklaces I used to make and pictures, of course to come up with this:
I
stole borrowed Marlana's perfect idea of the pretty ribbon and fancy beads. Next, you trace the washer onto scrapbook paper and attach it with glue dots or hot glue. Attach the picture you want to use and the most important step? Add a layer of Crystal Accent which is a 3D glaze that makes your project look oh-so wonderful and fancy (but is super easy!). I will post my kiddos when they are done! These 2 adorable kids pictured here are my 2 favorite kids in the whole wide world (a.k.a. my boys!).
The necklace, coupled with this Forever Bouquet project with an original poem written by MOI (only $2.50 through May 8th), is sure to make the mommas happy on Sunday:
