UPDATED LINKS: Pete the Cat Freebies and the Common Core Standards

Eric Litwin's newest book, Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons is being released on May 1st, so I have been working hard to complete my latest Pete the Cat activities and have them ready by then also.  First off, I needed new 10 frames for my classroom, so I made some of those (as well as an additional 5 frame and a double ten frame) and am offering them to you as a free gift.  I also added a Pete the Cat Color by Number just for fun.

Click on the picture above to grab 3 different styles of number frames.

My newest kit to offer is Pete the Cat and the Groovy Common Core Math Standards.  This kit aligns well with end of year kindergarten math standards in several core math standards.  It provides several different versions of a book that students can read and interact with by doing the addition and subtraction equations.  There are also puzzles to practice skip counting, word problems (which I love to do together as a class), and more!
Here are just a few of the Common Core Standards that this kit addresses:
*Understand addition as putting together and adding to, and understand subtraction as taking apart and taking from.
*Understand addition as putting together and adding to, and understand subtraction as taking apart and taking from.
*Know number names and the count sequence and much more!
I hope you like my newest additions to the Monkey Business.
Be sure to follow Mrs. Miner's Kindergarten Monkey Business or LIKE it on Facebook (both available in left sidebar) so you never miss another FREEBIE or informative article.  OR if you just want to check out the rest of my blog, just click on the header at the very top of my blog.  Have fun!

A big thank you for the fantastic free Pete the Cat Ten Frames. My little ones LOVE Pete the Cat. I used them today for my Maths activities. They are so much nicer than my boring plain ones.
