this is BIG!
I was so excited when I heard that there would be a virtual blog expo exclusively for kindergarten. We are the often overlooked group who has SUCH an important job to do for these itty bitties.
However, I have to say I was even more excited when I received an email from Tamara Chilver (yes, THE Mrs. Chilver from Teaching Blog Addicts) offering that I be a part of this endeavor. WHAT?? ME??? Well, let me think about that for about a tenth of second and, well.....
YES! How could anyone in their right mind refuse such an offer that provides such AWESOME-ness to teachers everywhere?? I have been putting my all into my presentation (which actually becomes a problem when I agree to do things like this--I have to remember I have other things that must also get done!) because I want it to be a valuable, fun, and refreshing experience for anyone who signs up and joins us on January 28th! I am among some INCREDIBLE company, if you haven't heard :
I know when I first started hearing about Virtual Teaching Expos, I was rather confused. I THINK I have a handle on it, so let me answer a few of the FAQ in regards to this new, up and coming phenomenon. You can also get TONS more information at the site, of course, if you need more info when I'm done!
- I have an obligation on the 28th, can I still purchase a ticket? Why, YES! Once you purchase a ticket, you will own the expo for your own personal use to watch at your convenience. The only difference is that presenters will be available live for questions and answers on that day only.
- I think my whole kindergarten team needs to see this, how can we do that? If you go to the link of the Teaching Blog Expo, you will find special pricing for groups which is perfect for schools looking for inexpensive, yet valuable in-house training.
You will also receive a virtual goodie bag that includes products worth more than the cost of the expo itself! If you sign up now, the price has been reduced from $19.95 to $14.95 for the time being. Please let me know in the comments if you are coming OR if you have any questions that I might be able to answer for you!
P.S. If you have any burning questions specifically about Literacy Center set up, organization, and/or implementation, please feel free to ask in the comment section below so I can possibly address it in my presentation. Also, I would really appreciate it if you would PIN this post (use my handy dandy Pin It button at the bottom of the post) so that all kindergarten teaches everywhere have the opportunity to be a part of this experience!
