When we come back to the classroom (armed with a huge bag of apples, of course!), we have lots of activities to do based on our trip and the apples. Below, I am sharing my Apple Science/Math sheet for you to try with your students. I give each student an apple and they have to estimate and record how many seeds they think the apple has. Next, I cut each child's apple in half and they have to dig out the seeds. They count and record how many seeds the apple actually has. Then they have to glue the seeds down in the correct place (hopefully you have already used my free Top Secret Gluing Techniques Kit before your students attempt this one!). Also, for those who haven't grabbed it yet, you can teach your students how to draw an apple using my FREE Directed Drawing kit here.
